Link backs are key when it comes to putting your site on the "map" the main focus of link backs should be on getting your site's link other websites that are similar to yours, for example if you have a auto repair shop in North Carolina you would want a link from another local site such as a local directory or local businesses, you may even want put links on a site that's not local because the more links you have pointing to your site the better (I will tell you more about this later) if your website is packed with great information share it just ask for a link back for the use of the content.
E-Newsletters are becoming ever so popular they are newsletters that are sent out bi-weekly to monthly (Anything more would be over kill) and they tell the subscribers what new things are happening on your site or throughout your company. Also you can promote sales and special offers, but don't put your brochures in your newsletters people will quickly disregard it because that is not why they have subscribed to your newsletter. Go beyond the Internet. There is more then online advertising print media is still out there so don't for get to use it. Put your website on everything, I've seen (more then I care to admit) people that have a site that they put lots of time and money in and then not put it on something as simple as there business card or bill board. Big Mistake please don't make it, if you have a website show that you do the more you do the more visitors the better chances you have of converting those visits to sales.
